Things to Do in Queens on the 4th
Celebrating in Queens guarantees a perfect view of the city’s fireworks displays while avoiding the hectic city crowds.
Where to Watch Fireworks
If you’re hoping to catch the iconic, 25-minute Macy’s fireworks extravaganza without the crowds, Queens is the perfect place to be. There are a few places across the borough with a great view of the display. Gantry State Plaza Park, Queensbridge Park, and Astoria Park are some of the most popular locations for viewing.
What better way to celebrate America’s Independence than with a baseball game that ends with a stunning fireworks show to close out the night? Citi Field will host its Fireworks Nights on June 25th, July 3rd, July 18th, August 1st, and August 15th.
Parks and Community Picnics
Astoria Park will also host its own fireworks show during its 41st Independence Day Celebration on June 26th, 2025. The event will take place from 4PM to 10PM with the fireworks display starting at dusk.
Rockville Center Fireworks is prepping for its annual Fireworks Celebration and Concert on July 12th. This year’s concert will showcase the South Shore Symphony. The festivities will begin at 7PM at Pette and Barasch Fields with the fireworks display starting around 9PM.
