NYC Pride 2026: Cannabis Picks for Celebrating

A group of young Asian LGBTQ friends enjoys the excitement of Bangkok Pride parade, taking a photo together to cherish their bond, express self-love, and celebrate their identity in a welcoming space.

New York Pride is one of the most significant LGBTQ+ gatherings in the world, rooted in the 1969 Stonewall uprising that launched the modern civil rights movement and continuing that legacy each year with the most visible Pride celebration in the country.

NYC Pride 2026 is built around the theme “For All of Us,” a statement of collective resilience and intersectional unity that reflects both the progress Pride has carried forward and the work that continues.

NYC Pride 2026: What’s Happening This Year

The 2026 NYC Pride March steps off on Sunday, June 28, from 26th Street and 5th Avenue, moving south along 5th Avenue, cutting west on 8th Street past the Stonewall National Monument, and concluding near 15th Street and 7th Avenue.

This year’s Grand Marshals include actor and SNL comedian Bowen Yang, activist and Pose actress Dominique Jackson, drag performer and activist Peppermint, broadcast journalist Bernie Wagenblast, and gun-control organization Gays Against Guns. The march broadcasts live on WABC-7 and ABC.com for those who can’t attend in person.

On Saturday, June 27, Youth Pride runs from 11 AM to 6 PM at the South Street Seaport (Pier 16 & 17). This is a free, family-friendly block-party-style event for LGBTQ+ youth and allies with live music, carnival games, and community resources.

PrideFest follows on June 28 across 4th Avenue from 14th Street to Astor Place, from 11 AM to 6 PM, the largest LGBTQ+ street festival in the country, divided into StageFest (music performances), BookFest (queer literature), and CommunityFest (nonprofits).

The 8th Annual Queer Liberation March, themed “Breaking the Chains of War and Oppression for Trans and Immigrant Lives,” takes place on Pride Sunday, June 28, 2026, beginning at Union Square West at 2:30 PM. The march steps off at 3 PM and proceeds down Broadway to Foley Square in Lower Manhattan. Volunteers and marshals are needed to support the event.

Other popular events include the Criminal Queerness Festival (June 10-27 at HERE, 145 Sixth Ave) by the National Queer Theater, the NYC Pride Ride (June 14, the largest queer cycling fundraiser in the country), and New York Mets Pride Night at Citi Field (June 26).

Celebrating Pride with Cannabis: flōr de fred’s Picks

LGBTQ+ cannabis brands and products from social equity and minority-owned producers are increasingly part of how New York’s legal cannabis market reflects the community it serves. At flōr de fred, we carry a curated selection of New York State-licensed products, and our team can point you toward brands with equity-focused ownership and mission-aligned sourcing.

For celebrating Pride with cannabis, the format you choose matters as much as the product. A few categories fit the weekend’s range of experiences:
